Why Video?
Why even have a wedding video?
That’s a question I’ve been asked from time to time by potential clients who are unsure about investing in a wedding video along with their wedding photos. While some may see having a videographer as unnecessary compared to a photographer, I firmly believe that video is the best way to capture your wedding day authentically and beautifully and to enjoy the memories of it for years to come. So why is this?
It all comes down to two words: audio and motion.
Video contains both audio and motion, both aspects that photos lack. While photos are amazing in their capability to provide snapshots that can be framed or posted on social media as a quick way to reflect on the big day, they completely lack the life and energy that video can bring. With a video of your wedding, you can hear the ceremony, vows, and toasts exactly how they were given. You can see the way the groom tries to hold himself together before beginning to cry as he sees his soon-to-be wife walk down the aisle. You can feel the energy of the dance floor as the camera weaves its way around guests during the Cha-Cha Slide.
Photos are great, but there is no substitute for being able to relive your wedding day with beautiful, cinematic video and crisp, clear audio. With video, you won’t miss a single word, smile, laugh, dance, or kiss of your big day.
